is presently working on a series of paintings that explore the
energy and character of waves as they interact with the shore.

Lyn
Mellady is past President of the Australian Guild of Realist Artists
(A.G.R.A.),
a member of the Pastel Society of Victoria and member of "Fusion Six",
who have a permanent collection called 'About Face' currently on tour until
2009 to Regional Public Galleries in Australia. An active member of the Art
community
today,
Lyn teaches, has demonstrated her methods to hundreds of artists and students,
and is
called to ajudicate at Art shows. But all these activities take second place
to her own artwork.
The
serenity that pervades most of Lyn's paintings belies her own inner
sense of excitement and impatience to get down on canvas her own
vision of Australia. (Excerpt
